COE (Control Óptimo del Efectivo – Optimum Cash Control –), owned by Bit Consulting and traded by MGI Accusys, is a management software designed for the comprehensive efficient management of monetary resources of financial institutions, aimed at maximizing profitability.

Based on operative and financial intelligence models applied to the management and planning of monetary resources in financial institutions in a comprehensive and efficient manner, they generate profitability by the reduction of expenses and the productive use of money, which would otherwise become idle balance resulting from an imprecise management.

COE allows turning cash holding into a business, instead of a financial burden.

Operating benefits

  • Comprehensive planning of cash or monetary resources generating a precise accounting position that accelerates the rotation of money.
  • Between 10% and 30% reduction in the cost of transporting your monetary resources.
  • 30 % reduction in the time of your processes cycle.
  • Treasury management for Branches, ATMs, Cash, Supply Centers or regional treasuries.

The efficient handling of cash by the institution implies achieving appropriate cash levels in the different channels according to customers’ demand. However, such situation should not be detrimental to profitability but consider, instead, the relation between cash availability and the institution’s attraction capacity.

An adequate money supply service through ATMs is a key factor, either positive or negative, of the institution’s image. COE contributes, precisely, to achieve the right Up Time supply levels.

Secure cash management by application of an automated process, eliminating steps conducted manually or involving many personnel members using low security devices, such as telephone lines or pre-printed paper for remittance requests, to guarantee information security.

  • Top limit: sum that a branch may request Treasury per denomination, per day.
  • Cash demand report: allows treasury knowing, daily, the cash demand in the branches’ network and compare it against Vault availability, showing the data required to conduct the cash flow planning.
  • Matching and Insurance: report comparing the daily closing balance against the cash limit set for business units, enabling monitoring of cash surplus and deficits.
  • Multi-vaults: functionality allowing regional treasuries to control cash inflow and outflow by internal passing among personnel members in charge of receiving and sending remittances.
  • Bills and coins information system: automated process supporting compliance with the Argentine Central Bank’s resolution instructing the fortnightly report on bills to the issuing entity.
  • Street insurance: automated process used to configure, in the system, the division of large remittances into several remittances, under the requirement of insurance and transportation companies.
  • Accounting Operating Balance: process that generates information on the closing balance of business units for later comparison with the Bank’s accounting balances and their control.
  • Remittances massive approval and submission: functionality that facilitates fast and secure submission of remittance processes in the system.
  • Costs adjustment: allows for adjustments on calculations made by the system, after comparing the information against the invoicing received from the transportation company.
  • Alarms: changes in sensitive parameters (e.g. cash limits per business units and requested cash limits); composition of cash inventory (classification and denomination); costs, deficit and surplus differences, among others.
  • Cash position: automated process providing daily information in reports and .txt files on the financial institution’s position.
  • Accounting: automated generation of all accounting entries generated by transactions referring to cash movements.
  • Control of permitted routes: enables route control among remittance senders and receivers, preventing lack of order and information among areas related to submitted remittances.
  • Route sheet: enables control of remittances upon delivery to transportation companies.

Operating Central

It supports operating management, by configuring the business rules applicable to remittances, special customers and multiple combinations of remittance senders/receivers.

Branches / ATMs

  • Efficient control of cash transactions of both branches and ATMs, by means of direct real time communication with the cash central management module.
  • Enables comprehensive efficient management of ATMs by consulting audits performed by branches, through the constant monitoring of cash in ATMs. Maximizes profitability by optimizing the dispense Up Time.

Allows those in charge of the area or region analyze the relevant conditions, to make the right decision as to volumes assigned to the different agencies or branches, ATMs and treasuries under their charge.

Profile management

Management of users, groups and profiles interacting with the COE Suite, to authenticate users’ credentials and deploy access to the functionalities corresponding to each profile.

Communication Module

Interfaces Control

The interface module allows the user to initiate and stop any of the configured interfaces in a functional manner. Interfaces may be incorporated or deleted in the form of plugins. It also gives access to control operations of each interface, for example:

  • Show service operations log.
  • Reinitiate/ Stop/ Initiate services.
  • Consult configuration parameters, number of successful or error transactions.

COE Interfaces:

  • Accounting Interface.
  • Financial Terminal Interface.
  • Cash Balance Interface.
  • ATM Interface.

Information Module

Forecast and Projections

Support for decisions as to the assignment of remittances and optimum cash levels. The Forecast and Projections System provides the best suggestions to make accurate decisions, based on algebraic, probabilistic and optimization algorithms and models.

It calculates critical variables, such as: optimum cash volume in Branches and ATMs, by remittance denomination to be requested or sent, and up to 15-day cash movement forecast in your business units, considering the minimum errors in each estimation.

This calculation is performed considering several strategic scenarios, thus enabling the user to choose the one that best fits its plans: cost reduction, profitability maximization or breakeven point.
